A profile of Lord Raven, reality and fantasy.
At one time I had seven Ultima Online accounts. The game provides so much variety that I would experiment endlessly on various character templates. House design and decoration is another part of the game I enjoy, and that also motivated me to keep opening new accounts.
In time I decided that I could survive with two accounts. Well, for a short while… I ended up re-activating an account and now run characters on my three oldest accounts. My decision to keep the oldest accounts was based mainly on making sure I had the best options when the yearly “vet reward” box popped up. I finally got my white polar bear ethereal mount.
Each of my current accounts has the full seven character allotment. So with 21 characters at my disposal I have a wide variety of activities to choose from. Most of the characters have attained Legendary status in their primary skills so they are quite capable of seeking adventure.
Several years ago, I took a hiatus from the game, returning about 4 years ago. When I did that I didn’t know you could re-activate closed accounts so I started fresh. Raven was my first mage under the new system and he spent countless hours fighting the Lizard Men at the Haven Moongate.
Sosaria transformed during my absence and, much of what I knew no longer applied. I was a ”noob” again! I would open the paperdolls of the bank-sitters and marvel at their fine armor and weapons. Haven was my home while I learned the game anew, and I received lots of help from folks there. In time Raven graduated to ratmen, daemons and now has fame and riches of his own.
Currently, he spends much of his time at his home in Minoc. However when the daemons howl in Ilshenear, or evil begins to spread, Lord Raven mounts his ethereal steed and heads off to battle!
